This is the site of the original Cedar Creek Lutheran church. The congregation was organized in 1907. The Cedar Creek church was constructed on this site in 1918. In 1958 the Prince of Peace church was built two and one-half miles north of here. It closed in 1974. The bell is from the original church and the tower is from the Prince of Peace church. The corner stone is from the Prince of Peace church. All members records are preserved in the ALC archives. Cedar Creek Cemetery is located in South Fork Township, Section 20. In the early 1950\'s the Cedar Creek Church burned down. In 1957 a new church was constructed 21/2 miles north and given the name Prince of Peace. The Cedar Creek Cemetery continued to be used. The property is two acres in size. It is about 1 mile north of Stowers Cemetery, which is 8 miles NE of Lemmon on 27th Street.
