      1941 - 2007

      Mary (Mrs. Larry) Rapp, 66, of Elbow Lake, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at the ELEAH Medical Center in Elbow Lake.

      Mary Ann Rapp (Hanson) was born Feb. 10, 1941, to Emer J. and Marian E. (Huselid) Hanson. She was confirmed in faith at Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne and graduated from Beaver Creek High School in 1959.

      On Aug. 20, 1960, she married Larry Rapp in Worthington. They made their home in Minneapolis. Mary attended the University of Minnesota and received her LPN license in 1962 and worked full-time while Larry attended medical school.

      In 1972 Larry and Mary moved their family to Elbow Lake where they made their home for 35 years.

      Mary was active in many community and church organizations. She owned and operated Mary's Shoppe, collecting and selling antiques and creating stained glass art. She decided to continue her education and received her BA degree in 1993, her RN license in 1994, and in 1998 she received her Masters degree in administration. Since then she worked at ELEAH Medical Center as Chief Systems Director.

      Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends, traveling with her husband and was an avid reader.

      She is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Beth (Tim) Huseth of Harvey, N.D.; son, Greg (Nancy) Rapp of Starbuck; son, Scott of St. Paul; brother, Marty (Paulette) Hanson of Marshall; brother, John (Shirley) Hanson of Minneapolis; two grandsons and three granddaughters.

      Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

      Visitation: Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bethlehem/West Elbow Lake Lutheran Church with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and one hour before the service on Saturday.
      Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem/West Elbow Lake Lutheran Church, Elbow Lake
