      Charley Anderson, a resident of Dallas, Oregon died on Saturday, April 19, 2008 in Dallas. Charley was born on September 24, 1945 in Ortonville, Minnesota the son of Harold and Theona Jacobson Anderson. The family moved to Albany in 1956. He graduated from Albany High School in 1963.

      Following graduation Charley worked at Safeway and transferred to California for several years. He worked in the grocery business for over 30 years. He was the manager at Marth’s Grocery Store in Dallas for many years.

      Charley married Conni Buchanan on October 12, 1988 in Reno, Nevada.

      Later in life, Charley started his own courier business, Double A Legal & Courier Service where he worked until 2007.

      Charley had a very strong work ethic. Charley had a love for car racing. He spent over 25 years racing stock cars in Lebanon, Oregon. Charley enjoyed going on family camping and boating trips. He enjoyed waterskiing. Charley also enjoyed following NASCAR racing. He loved baseball and followed the Padres and Mariners.

      He is survived by his wife Conni of Dallas, Oregon; Sons; Nick Anderson, and Jeromy & (Michele) Curtiss; Daughters; Charlotte & (Cory) Hill, Aimee & (Shelby) Hansen; brothers, Jerry, Rod, & Tom; sisters, Janet Gale & Bonnie Walker; along with four grandchildren Shayla, Amara, Aaron & Kelci.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and mother in law Donna Buchanan.

      A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Dallas United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. Memorials may be made to OHSU Foundation for the study research of esophageal cancer, in care of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center.
