      RUIZ, Frank

      Frank Ruiz, 84, passed away of Alzheimer's disease on February 18, 2012. He was born in Sacramento, CA. on December 4, 1927 to Angel and Grace Ruiz. He married Jacqueline Sordahl on Jan. 20, 1951. He was a graduate of Belmont High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948 on the USS Sea Devil. Frank worked for the City of La Puente as Assistant City Manager and City Manager for 25 years.
      He was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be greatly missed. His love was strong and unconditional and will continue to be felt by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
      Frank is survived by his wife Jackie, a son, Steve Ruiz (Claudia), three daughters, Sue Abatangelo (Sal), Cheryl Ruiz-Brelsford and Karen Downtain (Patrick), 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
