      Funeral services were held for Thomas M. Gartman, 82, of Lucedale, February 25, 2006, at 11 a.m. from Camellia Baptist Church in Semmes, Ala.

      Interment followed in Camellia Baptist Church Cemetery with James Willis McInnis and Andy Gartman officiating the services.

      Born in Wilmer, Ala., he was a WWII Army veteran. He was also a retired aircraft electrician and worked in the civil service at the naval air station. A member of the Baptist faith, he died February 23, 2006.

      He is survived by his wife, Melonese Gartman; three daughters, Elaine (Jon) Kremin of Pinellas Park, Fla., Bernice (John) Lavery of Treasure Island, Fla and Patricia Gail (Ricky) Wooley of Lucedale; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

      He was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Andrew Gartman and Eugene Gartman.

      Mr. Thomas M. Gartman -- age 82, born September 9, 1923 in Wilmer , AL, died February 23, 2006 at a hospital in Mobile, AL. Mr. Gartman is a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed with the Civil Service at NAS in Pensacola, FL. He was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Andrew Gartman and Eugene Gartman. He is survived by his wife, Melonese Gartman, Mobile, AL; three daughters, Elaine (Jon) Kremin, Pinellas Park, FL, Bernice (John) Lavery, Treasure Island, FL, and Patricia Gail (Ricky) Wooley, Lucedale, MS; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
