      AUSTIN -- Eloise M. Jordahl, age 74, of Austin, died Thursday morning at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

      She was born Nov. 11, 1931, to Henry and Minnie (Frojen) Halvorson in Finley, N.D. Following graduation at Concordia College in Moorhead, Eloise taught in Roseau and New London. Eloise M. Halvorson married David O. Jordahl on Sept. 11, 1955, in Finley, N.D. Following their marriage, Eloise and David lived in Evanston, Ill., while David attended graduate school. They then moved to Aurora, West St. Paul, and to Austin where they have lived the last 33 years.
      Eloise was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, St. Olaf Church Choir, St. Olaf Book Club, and Stephens Ministry. She worked as a nursing assistant at St. Mark's Lutheran Home. Eloise enjoyed traveling with David and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

      Survivors include her husband, David; three sons: Tim (Maryl) Jordahl, of Maple Grove, Minn.; Mark (Laurie) Jordahl, of Edina, Minn.; Brian (Diane) Jordahl, of Woodbury, Minn.; and seven grandchildren.
      She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Rolf.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin with The Reverend Kristi Koppel officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Worlein Funeral Home and at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery.
      Memorials are preferred to St. Olaf Lutheran Church Foundation or St. Olaf Church Choir.
