David Jacobson was born on Feb 22, 1962, during a snowy night in Willmar, Minnesota to Millie and Arnold Jacobson.

His childhood was a happy one where he shared the love of his parents, big brother Dennis and a large Jacobson and Oldstad Clan.

He attended Mankato State University where he got a Business and Finance Degree. After college, he lived in Apple Valley Minnesota and worked for Dairy Queen International where he quickly moved up into a management position.

In 1987, fate and serendipity brought him together with the love of his life George. They knew they were meant for each other from day One. Thirty three years together was not enough.

David soon found himself working at Honeywell next to George and remained there until 1990, when he chose to take over the couple's affairs as George's career took off.

As a couple, they were inseparable, and in their home life David was everything to George. In 1996 when George retired from Alliant Techsystems David was at his side encouraging him to follow his dream. Jointly, they invested in and eventually bought an educational company that together they transformed into a leader in Distance Learning in the Field of Health Care Management.

Working with the US Government, he assumed all the financial responsibilities of the Company and often joked that ADL, Inc. stood for 'All Day Long', which was how long he worked.

David and George worked hard and played harder! They enjoyed travel, the arts and entertaining their friends and did so frequently. He also liked to get away from it all and they had a country home in Minnesota, a Cabin in Wisconsin and a place in Acapulco Mexico where they spent as much of the winter as they could. They traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Americas, Hawaii and the USA and took many cruises. David had a goal to visit every Presidential Library and Every State Capitol... he came close.

David adored his cats over the years and recently "adopted" Bissli (a greyhound!) and Leif (a Turkish adopted cat) the family pets of our NYC clan whom we visited as needed to pet-sit.

David's generous heart showed in his support of philanthropy. He and George were members of the 2% Club, and they together annually hosted numerous fundraisers in their home for non-profits in the areas of minority economic development, women's education and rights, gay rights, the Rochester Philharmonic and many other causes in the Arts, Feeding The Hungry and providing support for battered women.

A simple, loyal, loving man, David always took care of those around him.

He was dedicated to his husband, George; his Dad; Mother; Brother; and George’s parents-and was always there for them. He loved his son, George Mori III, his Godson Jacob and his niece Jenna. Everyone who met David loved him and he never had a bad word about anyone. He left us too soon.

David is survived by his mother Millie in Willmar, MN; his husband George of Edina, his son, George III of Miami, Florida, his cousin Bruce (Kathy) Johnson, his godson Jacob Johnson, his niece Jenna Johnson and countless family and friends from the US, Mexico and around the world.

David is predeceased by his father Arnie, His brother Dennis and Dennis' life partner Bryan, his in-laws George and Olga Mori of Miami Fl. and many aunts uncles and and family from Minnesota.

Private interment at St. John’s Church Cemetery prior to service. David's family has been a part of St. Johns Church for generations.
